Tick all of the items below that you think should be included in a ban on single-use plastic:
Whilst bioplastics and compostable plastics are made from natural materials, once in the environment, most behave in the same way as fossil fuel-based plastics would - contributing to plastic pollution and harming wildlife. They are also hard to recycle in the UK.
Items defined as packaging would still be banned in ‘eat-in’ settings where reusable alternatives can easily be used.
This could be people in a certain geographical area, type of job, socioeconomic status, or people with a particular protected characteristic such as age or disability.
For example, this could be in certain locations or for particular purposes.
For example, do you produce, use, or supply single use plastic items?
The government will publish responses to it's consultation. Use this to say whether you'd like your response to be confidential.
