Trade deals with other countries could put the UK’s high food and animal welfare standards at risk. Products like chlorinated chicken and hormone-pumped beef could make their way to the UK. They could end up on our family dinner tables and undercut our hard-working British farmers.
In response to overwhelming public pressure, many major UK supermarkets such as Tesco, Waitrose, Aldi, The Coop, Asda and Sainsbury’s have stepped up to the plate and committed to never stock these products in their stores.
