Why is this important?

Once again, we need to lock down to help combat the coronavirus crisis. It’s a hammer blow- and unless the government provides extra support to help businesses keep going, this lockdown could mean thousands of people losing their jobs or livelihoods as businesses have to close their doors for good.

Rishi Sunak is under a lot of pressure to give fair financial support to go along with the new restrictions. The government could hold out and not offer the support needed - or think again and make sure that we all have enough to get by.
