Petition text
Why is this important?
Amazon and Google are continuing to avoid paying their fair share of tax. It’s a joke - and it’s beginning to get very old.
But streaming giant Netflix says it will declare over £1 billion that it makes from UK subscribers to our tax authority - rather than channelling it through the Netherlands. It means it’s likely that Netflix is about to start paying a lot more tax.
Now Amazon and Google need to do the same. But, instead, they continue to find ways to limit their tax bill - most recently by passing the cost of the new digital services tax onto businesses that use their services. It’s outrageous, and it has to stop.
Will you chip in?
