To Philip Hammond - Chancellor of the Exchequer
Why is this important?
The government wants to give Amazon a tax break, whilst slapping small family businesses with higher taxes at the same time.
38 Degrees members believe that tax is important - it pays for our NHS, education for everyone and a safety net for those who need it. But the government’s new tax rules just don’t make sense - they’re based on the location of businesses rather than how big they are.
The more of us that sign, the more pressure the government will feel. So please can you add your name now?
Will you chip in?
Thousands of us from across the UK have already chipped in to help fund the 38 Degrees staff team and website. Will you chip in to make sure we can move fast to win the campaigns, like this campaign to get the government to scrap their dodgy tax plans, that matter to all of us?
