As your constituents, we are submitting a Freedom of Information request to find out how the council is protecting our local parks.

Why is this important?

Across the country, parks are at risk. Green spaces - from kids playgrounds, to the parks on our doorsteps - don’t have the money they need. We need to be able to build a picture of the state of parks across the country, so that we can help save them.

Together we’re launching a people-powered investigation by sending Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to councils up and down the country to find out which or our parks are at risk. FOIs are the official way to access information from all public bodies - like the government, museums, hospitals and councils.

Sign the petition to be part of finding out what’s going on with your local parks. Are they being outsourced to private companies? Are they losing funding? What’s going to happen to them in the future?
