To Tracey Crouch - Minister for Gambling

Petition text

Cut the maximum bet allowed on addictive betting machines.

Why is this important?

Addictive gambling machines that let you bet £100 every twenty seconds are plunging people into life-changing debt. The government could choose to do something that genuinely changes peoples lives, or tinker around the edges.

Tracey Crouch, the Minister in charge, is considering setting the maximum bet at £2 to stop these addictive machines sucking up people’s life savings. And now she wants to hear from the public before she makes her final decision.

If she sees hundreds of thousands of us have signed a petition calling for her to crack down on addictive machines, it could be enough to persuade her to choose a £2 maximum bet and change people's lives for the better.
