To Dr Liam Fox, Secretary of State for International Trade
Subject all trade deals to democratic approval - either a binding vote in Parliament or a referendum.
Why is this important?
Trade isn’t just something for politicians to discuss. It’s our everyday - the good and the bad. It’s the flights to every corner of the globe. Or the reason we have access to NHS drugs invented thousands of miles away.
But we also know that trade deals can be done badly - when they put big corporations above people, jobs and the environment. So we need to make sure that the people in charge of trade see our vision and take it seriously.
This is our opportunity to get our ideas in front of the person in charge of what our trade deals will look like when we leave the EU
